Climate Studies-student Marijn van der Meer (22), one of the initiators: ‘It was one big party.’

Globus was initially set to take place in 2020 but was postponed due to corona. This year, the festival did take place, albeit in an adjusted format.  ‘This being possible after all this time and being such a success is really great.’

Guests could book a table for two and order food and beverages using their smartphones. ‘The performers were well-scheduled, from the quieter singer-songwriters to bands that got everyone swinging in their seats.’

The organisation is still savouring their success but will soon evaluate. Van der Meer: ‘in the summer, we aim to find new board members to organise the festival in 2022. We will remain available as a sounding board.’
