This year's yield is so large that there is a surplus.

On Monday, October 20, the CropMix research program is organizing a ‘rescue operation’ for the white cabbages still standing in the field at Droevendaal. The cabbages are large this year and the yield was so high that not everything has been harvested. As a result, some of it is in danger of being lost.

To prevent waste, anyone can come and harvest cabbages for free this Monday between 2 and 4 p.m. CropMix will provide knives and a helping hand. The cabbages are in field 0; the entrance is opposite De Hoge Born.

The cabbages were grown for CropMix’s agro-ecological research, in this case into the influence of crop diversity on resistance to herbivores and diseases. These are ‘normal’ organic white cabbages; they have not been modified for the research.
