The AID-time machine (photo series)

What were past AIDs like? A tour through the photo archives.
The AID in 1984. Photo Guy Ackermans

The Annual Introduction Days (AID) are set to take place again. The first of two AIDs starts tomorrow, Wednesday 11 August. What was the AID like in the past? Thankfully, we still have pictures. Resource photographer Guy Ackermans went through his archives and found the following pictures from 1984 and 2003.

Noteworthy in the pictures from 2003 are the old-fashioned cell phones, the taking of the market square and the foam party. In the black and white pictures from 1984, beer plays a leading role, including during the daytime. Not a cell phone in sight, at that time.
