Wageningers at Extinction Rebellion protest in Amsterdam (video)

The Extinction Rebellion protesters demand more serious measures against climate change.

‘I don’t want to be here. I’m supposed to do be doing group work right now, learning about things that would help’, says Malik Dasoo, one of the approximately 50 Wageningers who joined the Extinction Rebellion protest in Amsterdam on Monday October 7.

The Extinction Rebellion protesters demand more serious measures against climate change and occupied a major street in Amsterdam, in front of the Rijksmuseum. At the end of the afternoon the street was cleared by the police. The street blockade was part of a worldwide protest. In about sixty cities all over the world, rebels occupied squares and streets, organized marches and demanded climate action.

Resource’s Luuk Zegers reports on the Amsterdam street occupation and spoke to some of the protesting members of the WUR community.
