Teacher of the Year nominee #5: the sports enthusiast (video)

The student jury of the education award surprised this aquatic ecologist just as he was about to leave the campus to be on his way with his students. The lecturer had made it to the shortlist last year as well. At the time, the jury praised his personal style, sobriety and involvement in the well-being of his students.

The last nominee likes sports: he once ended in second place at the winter triathlon in Austria (in the category for 50 y/o and above), participated in the Elfstedentocht in the 80s, plays football, cycles and goes running in his lunch breaks.

Last week, the University Fund Wageningen (UFW) announced the other four nominees. The winner of the Teacher of the Year Award 2018 will be announced on 24 April.
