The love between Harimurti Buntaran and Renna Eliana Warjoto (pictured above) is still young and fresh. She arrived in The Netherlands on January 24th, he picked her up from the airport. They didn’t know each other, but as they are both from Indonesia, he volunteered to fetch her. And with a home-cooked meal he sealed the deal. ‘I was hungry’, reminisces Harimurti. ‘So I bought groceries and went to her place to make supper.’ He shared it with Renna and that’s how he stole her heart. ‘I didn’t mean to impress her’, speaks Harimurti, the smooth operator. ‘Well, I can’t cook’, explains Renna.

Lu and Jun have been married for three years. This couple from China came to Wageningen in October 2013. He studies Food safety, she Food technology. ‘In China there are two Valentine’s Days. The international one and a Chinese one.’
Thomas van Esch started making more frequent visits to his friends when he noticed their lovely housemate: Annika Rettig. They have been an item for seven years. Both Thomas and Annika have completed their studies and are now working at Wageningen UR.
